Bulgaria’s Youth and Sports activities Minister Georgi Glouchkov talked in regards to the position of volunteers in European sport at Tuesday’s Training, Youth, Tradition and Sport Council in Brussels, his Ministry stated.
“The Bulgarian Ministry of Youth and Sports activities works in shut cooperation with sports activities and youth organizations and with native authorities to help volunteering. We offer monetary help to cowl the prices of volunteers concerned in organizing and working sporting actions and competitions administered underneath our programmes,” Glouchkov stated.
Earlier within the day he attended an off-the-cuff lunch of the game ministers, who mentioned the place of ladies in sport.
“Bulgaria’s nationwide insurance policies tackle girls’s participation and management in a multidisciplinary and multilevel perspective, each in sport and in different sectors. This can be a course of that cuts throughout schooling and coaching, youth insurance policies, labour and social insurance policies. It’s complemented by particular measures to advertise girls’s participation and management,” Glouchkov stated on the lunch assembly.
“The Tokyo Olympics proved that ladies are among the many most recognizable athletes in Bulgaria. Ladies received gold medals in karate, boxing and rhythmic gymnastics, in addition to medals in taking pictures and wrestling. (…) Ladies are performing efficiently in historically ‘male’ sports activities, which provides a robust impetus to overcoming gender-role stereotypes,” he stated.
Glouchkov is in Brussels for the Training, Youth, Tradition and Sport Council with Deputy Youth and Sports activities Minister Petar Mladenov. The 2 held a sequence of conferences.
The Bulgarian minister talked with Iliana Ivanova, the European Commissioner for Innovation, Analysis, Tradition, Training and Youth, and together with his counterparts from Romania, Croatia, Greece and Cyprus.
