The Division of Sports activities, Arts, and Tradition distributed over R72 million to three,962 artists throughout the 2020-2021 Covid-19 interval.
On Wednesday, 10 July 2024, the Division of Sports activities, Arts, and Tradition launched the 2020/2021 listing of COVID-19 beneficiaries, which included 3,962 names and a complete payout of over R72 million.
The listing consists of a number of well-known public figures within the artistic and music industries.
This comes after the newly appointed Sports activities Minister Gayton McKenzie instructed {that a} listing be printed of all artists, creatives, and sports activities individuals who have been receiving cash from the Division, together with the quantities and causes.
