Moscow (VNA) – Visiting Vietnamese Minister of Tradition, Sports activities and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung and Russian Minister of Sport Mikhail Vladimirovich Degtyarev signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in sports activities at their current assembly in Moscow.
The July 4 session noticed the ministers acknowledging the sound development of such collaboration based mostly on the Vietnam-Russia long-standing conventional friendship and agreeing to arrange a working group on bilateral sport cooperation. The group, headed by Vietnamese and Russian deputy ministers, will collect representatives from specialised businesses and maintain annual conferences on a rotating foundation.
Vietnam proposed Russia facilitate the coaching of its athletes in Russia, particularly in disciplines comparable to boxing for the years 2024 and 2025, and athletics in 2025.
Either side dedicated to selling the participation of their athletes in respective sporting occasions. Furthermore, they pledged ongoing mutual assist inside worldwide sports activities organisations and world sports activities boards.
Degtyarev lauded the energetic engagement of Vietnamese athletes in Russian-organised tournaments, whereas Hung took the event to congratulate Russia on its important achievements in sports activities/.
