The Patriots haven’t had an official Basic Supervisor since 1990 when Pat Sullivan accomplished his final of eight seasons with that title for the staff. Invoice Belichick was the de facto Basic Supervisor throughout his lengthy tenure in New England, and director of scouting Eliot Wolf was the de facto G.M. this offseason.
The staff will proceed to function with out a G.M. in title.
The Patriots are looking for head of soccer operations, having begun interviews this week, and so they registered the job title with the NFL. In accordance with Albert Breer of MMQB, the title is executive vice president of player personnel.
New England accomplished two interviews at this time, although Wolf stays the main contender.
Samir Suleiman, the Panthers’ former director of participant negotiations and wage cap supervisor, and Eagles director of scouting Brandon Hunt are the primary recognized exterior candidates interviewed for the job.
Payments director of participant personnel Terrance Grey, former Cardinals vice chairman of participant personnel Quentin Harris and Bengals senior personnel govt Trey Brown all declined interview requests with the Patriots.
